Biography

Annuitant on the Cleland and Farm estates of the Cumberbatch family in Barbados, claimed unsuccessfully but apparently agreed a settlement with the other claimants. Daughter of Elizabeth Frere (daughter of Hon. John Frere) and Samuel Estwick. Her annuity was attributed to a deed of 1829 in the compensation records for Cleland.

  1. Widow of Robert Burnet Jones, and mother-in-law of Abraham Parry Cumberbatch (q.v.). Will of Elizabeth Susanna [sic] Jones widow of Portman Square proved 27/09/1843. She left numerous monetary legacies to her children and grandchildren totalling just under £10,000, including £700 she had 'in the estate' of her daughter Dorothy Dottin in Barbados.
