Parliamentary Notes

Parliamentary Reform (England) Committee Stage House of Commons 20/07/1831

Arguing against the disenfranchisement of Brackley, Bradshaw used the stock phrase: "He could assure the Committee, that his family never exercised any influence in that borough but that which property bestowed upon them. He was returned by the influence of property situated within the borough. There was no charge of bribery against it, nor did he believe there had been any these last thirty or forty years at least."
