T71/881: James Matthews was the surviving partner of Alex Sutherland, mortgagees under a deed of 04/12/1821 against the enslaved persons in possession of Marie Adele Beamish before her marriage with John Wilson Foreman. The claim was by H.J. Glanville & John Henry Newman, trustees under the marriage settlement of John Wilson Foreman and Marie Adele, his wife.
T71/363 p. 238: enslaved persons were registered in 1832 by Adele Beamish, joint proprietor.
