Edward L. Cox, Free coloreds in the slave societies of St Kitts and Grenada, 1763-1833 (Knoxville, University of Tennessee Press, 1984) p. 61, identifies Donald McMillan as a free coloured.
T71/1609: letter, dated 03/05/1836, from Marryats, stating that a letter from Donald McMillan has been received, in which he states that 'Diana the runaway woman was caught and valued at £25 sterling'.
T71/333 p. 106: enslaved persons were registered by Donald M'Millan, 'in lawful possession' in 1834.
