T71/871: claim from Richard Watt, of the parish of Westmoreland, as owner.

T71/188 p. 350: enslaved persons were registered in 1832 by Edward Smith, as attorney to Richard Watt.

(Liverpool, Henry Young & Sons, 1906) p. 117: account of Richard Walker, a merchant of Liverpool, who married in 1759 the sister of Richard Watt, a merchant in Kingston, Jamaica. The latter came home in 1781 and died in 1796, aged 71, leaving £500,000 to his nephews Richard Walker (d. 1801) and Richard Watt.
