T71/860: claim from the executors and devisees in trust under the will of Adam Smith esq. (will proved 04/09/1815; Adam Smith, of Marylebone - see PROB 11/1573). Claim in the name of William Shand, by Jas. McWilliam (his attorney), as acting trustee under the same will. Wm. Shand denied the right of James McWilliam to receive the amount awarded; he admitted the counterclaim of the Smiths.

Jamaica Almanac (1833): Bossue estate registered to A. McWilliam.

Jamaica Almanac (1826): Bossue estate registered to Adam Smith.

T71/1190: shows William Smith as of Shedlaw in the county of Northumberland, and Thomas Smith as of Buckton in County Durham. Both were farmers and two of the nephews and devisees in trust and executors named in the will of Adam Smith.
