T71/1853: claim by Wm. Jackson, as owner. Counterclaim by John Henry Deffell, as surviving executor of Richard Shawe (the mortgagee), for £4,500 with interest from 20/11/1834. Counterclaim also from George Augustus Shawe, 'as absolutely entitled to the slaves purchased and their issue and as having a lien on compensation money in respect of the other slaves for £25,745 11s 6d'. Leblanc Oliver acted for George Augustus Shawe.
