Barrett, The Barretts of Jamaica: The Family of Elizabeth Barrett Browning (Athlone, Continuum International Publishing Group, 2000) p. 87: shows George Gordon, of Moor Park, as attorney for Blue Hole estate and President of Courts Martial at Montego Bay. Ibid. p. 84: Moor Park estate was attacked and houses burnt in the Montego Bay insurrection.

Jamaica Almanac (1828): Moor Park estate registered to George Gordon, with 191 enslaved persons.

T71/1608: letter, dated 25/11/1835, from Robert Kite, stating: 'having to invest part of the amt awarded on the claim 181'.
