Claim by John Cargill, of St George, as owner-in-fee. Counterclaim from (Alderman) John Atkins, as mortgagee in fee for £18,000 sterling. John Atkins withdrew his counterclaim on 29/10/1835. 21/01/1836: 'Letter from John Atkins praying that the Comp money may be pd to him as the Attorney of Mr Cargill'.

T71/1593 p. 67, 19/01/1836: return of letters by Compensation Commission, giving authority to John Atkins to receive the award.
