T71/1592 p. 300: letter dated 02/11/1835 to inform James Gray that he has been awarded the compensation.
T71/1606: letter dated 29/08/1835 from James Gray stating that enslaved persons on Mt Ida had been left to his wife M.M. Bigam by Thomas Howe [Huie?], and then moved by Hamilton Brown, attorney, to his property Grierbank [?], and asking if a claim had been filed for compensation for these enslaved persons.
