T71/1592 p. 213: letter dated 24/08/1835 to Jas Gray, Dublin stating there were no claims so far in the name of M.M. Gray otherwise Bigam, nor any by Mr Hamilton Brown of Dry Harbou,r Jamaica, on behalf of M.M. Gray.

T71/1592 p. 300: letter dated 02/11/1835 to inform James Gray that he has been awarded the compensation.

T71/1606: letter dated 29/08/1835 from James Gray stating that enslaved persons on Mt Ida had been left to his wife M.M. Bigam by Thomas Howe [Huie?], and then moved by Hamilton Brown, attorney, to his property Grierbank [?], and asking if a claim had been filed for compensation for these enslaved persons.
