T71/857: claim by Tho Ashmeade, guardian to his children. Will of Maurice Fitzgerald produced, 'devise of three negro women and their issue to the 3 children of Thomas Ashmeade for ever'. Mary Chippendale was grandaughter of Tho Ashmeade, daughter of his daughter Frances. John Thomas Steer was guardian to Ann Eubank [sic] Johnson, a minor and also a granddaughter of Tho Ashmeade, daughter of his daughter's Susan's first marriage.

T71/1606: letter from Geo Geddes dated 04/07/1839 asking if, as the oldest child is now of age, if she is awarded her compensation directly then the remainder falls below £200, so can John Thomas Steer be awarded the compensation without trustees?
