T71/853: claim by Messrs Thomas Daniel & Co., of London, as mortgagees in possession. Counterclaim from Lady Janet Grant, a widow, as legatee of £5000 charged by the will of John MacLeod. Appears to have gone into Chancery in Faulks (= Faulkner) versus Daniel, but had been resolved by November 1840.
T71/1606: letter, dated 17/01/1837, from Parker & Ruth, stating that Lady Grant has died and that Lady Faulkner (her sister) has taken out letters of administratrix.
