T71/1190: shows that Stephen Denton Esq., of Beverly, Devonshire [sic], England, had sold enslaved persons in 1820, and secured purchase money on a mortgage. Counterclaim also from Thomas Abell, a merchant, late of Cornhill but now of No. 8 Old Jewry, as mortgagee.
