Parliamentary Papers brackets Westmoreland claim nos. 27, 30 & 31 together, then split: £5000 went to Leman & Curry; £2,211 13s 9d went to Lord Holland. The numbers of enslaved persons and compensation are combined here for all 3 claims.
T71/871: claim by Lord and Lady Holland, as owners. Counterclaim by George Capron, on behalf of Sir Godfrey Webster Bart., 'Vested estate tail in one third part expectant on decease of Lady Holland'. Under Westmoreland claim nos. 30 & 31 there are also counterclaims from John Barham, the heir of Joseph Foster Barham, as mortgagee. The role of Leman and Curry is unclear (possibly trustees to Webster?).

Born into slavery in Carriacou, Grenada, Malvina Wells became a lady's maid in Edinburgh and a trusted family friend to her employers.

An inventory and valuation of enslaved persons at Williamsfield settlement, St Elisabeth parish, Jamaica, 1814. 3. An inventory of animals at Windsor Estate, St Elizabeth parish, Jamaica, 1814. 4. A cover note outlining the contents of the document.
