T71/1607: letter dated 01/09/1835 from A Snody, 118 Const St., Leith: 'in behalf of a poor man in this town, Donald Bain, father of David Bain surgeon in Jamaica.' Letter states that David Bain had died and left four negroes, his executor was Dr Weir who had died at Brighton [Sussex] in June 1836 and asks how to proceed?
