T71/1594 p. 276: letter, dated 24/10/1839, to Geo. Hawkins, 12 Oxford Terrace, Edgware Road, describing David Lyon's 9 claims as receiver in Westmoreland. David Lyon [I] was of Portland Place; his daughter Isabella married James Wedderburn. David Lyon [I] died before 1836. David Lyon [II], of Lower Grosvenor St., was MP for D(?)eeralston in 1831.
Times 06/07/1872: will proved of David Lyon, of Grosvenor St., and of South Street Park Lane, Goring Hall (Sussex) and Balenterie Castle, Forfar, Scotland. Left £160,000 personalty in UK. Philip Haughton James, of Sidmouth, Devon, was one of David Lyon [II]'s executors.
