There is a problem with the numbers of enslaved persons vs the compensation in Parliamentary Papers, which shows the number of enslaved persons as 89 and the compensation amount as £92 18s 10d.
T71/882: shows that William Laurence was granted a special award for 4 enslaved persons, 'his private property'. The Remainder goes under the following claim (i.e. Nevis claim no. 2).
