T71/882: awarded to Jane Forbes of Bath, England, owner-in-fee. Counterclaim by Charles Pinney of Bristol, charge under the will of George Clarke Forbes for the benefit of his creditors £732 16s 0d.

T71/1609: letter dated 24/10/1835 from Stenhouse and Gaitskell, 21 Stamford Street, stating the counterclaim of Chas Pinney has been promised to be withdrawn, 'he having no interest whatever in the property.'

Slaves in the Colonies, House of Commons Parliamentary Papers 1826-7 (111) (146) p. 28: G.C. Forbes was Solictior General, registered 97 enslaved persons 'all employed in cultivating an estate' in 1826.
