Neave vs Miller.
T71/882: Sir Tho Neave was trustee to the heirs of Jno Ward; counterclaim from Mary Randel, widow of St Kitts as heiress-at-law of John Ward; and Andrew Miller, of Upper Sloane Street and Sarah Louisa his wife in right of wife sole devisee-in-fee of John Ward.
NB The Chancery suit of Neave, Baronet versus Miller (which must be the suit into which the compensation was paid under this award) is shown in the London Gazette 19129 18/02/1834 p. 296 which identifies an extraordinary series of annuities secured on the Nevis plantations of John Abel Ward. The 38 annuities totalling £2500 p.a had been sold to raise £23,765 for Ward (who was indebted to Mills & Swanston for £21,254 1s 9d).
