T71/877: claim from Alexander Millar, as owner-in-fee, by his attorney Hon. G. S. Martin.

T71/250: enslaved persons were registered in 1832 by Richard Hatley, as manager to Alexander Millar, the proprietor.  

T71/1028: identifies Alexander Millar as of Datnair (Dalnair?) in the County of Stirling (Scotland), and of Earnock in the county of Lanark (Scotland), owner-in-fee.

New Statistical Account of Scotland (1845) Vol. VI Lanark -  Parish of Hamilton: Alexander Millar bought the estate of Earnock c. 1810.
