CO29/34 p. 111: letter from John Lefevre to Thos Garth Esq, Haines Hill, Maidenhead, acknowledging the receipt of a 'plan of treatment of the Negroes on the Estates in the Island of Barbadoes'.

T71/1593 p. 49: letter, dated 09/01/1836, to Capt Thomas Garth (Royal Navy), Haines Hill, Maidenhead, on the process on this claim, in response to Thomas Garth's letter, dated 08/01/1836 (see T71/1611), asking 'as a proprietor of 281 Negroes on an Estate called Colletons..at what time I should wait on you to receive the Compensation money for the same.'

T71/558 p. 31: enslaved persons were registered in 1834 by Forster Clarke, as attorney to Thomas Garth.
