Bentinck papers University of Nottingham [Notts] Catalogue entry Pw L 232/1-2 5.6.17 [sic] 48 (c): letter, dated 5th June (no year, c. 1848) from Henry Porter, Winslade, near Topham, Devon, to Lord George Bentinck, enclosing a copy of the Royal Gazette from British Guiana, and a letter from his nephew Thomas Porter (a member of the Court of Policy). Discusses the sale at loss of the estate of Malagr, Tout [sic]; Henry Porter's own estates at b/e 1847.

T71/429 p. 221: Hubert Whitlock registered 375 enslaved persons on Paradise plantation for Thomas Porter in 1832.

T71/429 p. 245: D. Macarthur registered 718 enslaved persons in 1832, as attorney.
