T71/433 p. 2040: 375 enslaved persons were registered by J. W. Richardson in 1832 - 'John Austin is unable to attend from indisposition'.
‘Slaves in the colonies’, House of Commons Parliamentary Papers 1826-7 (111) (146) p. 11: Rev. Wm. Austin, of St James, registered 'none, but interested in right of wife (as co-executrix of her late father) in a sugar property worked by 460 slaves'.
