T71/887: claim by John Austin and the heirs of William Austin (deceased). John Austin was entitled to one moiety in his own right, and being an executor with Mehetabel Austin of the said Wm. Austin (deceased).

T71/433 p. 2040: 375 enslaved persons were registered by J. W. Richardson in 1832 - 'John Austin is unable to attend from indisposition'.

‘Slaves in the colonies’, House of Commons Parliamentary Papers 1826-7 (111) (146) p. 11: Rev. Wm. Austin, of St James, registered 'none, but interested in right of wife (as co-executrix of her late father) in a sugar property worked by 460 slaves'.
