T71/886: shows that the award was split into 19 and 11 enslaved persons, and shows: '1140 awarded £1016 16s 6d + 1140 £980 1s 8d, 2373 awarded £680 14s 8d.' A note says: 'Note. This sum was wrongly claimed - as 1140 and 2373 after the same was awarded it was discovered that Mr Kingston was not entitled to no 2372 - and ultimately he returned the compensation money £680 14s 8d by a check which was paid over to John Clarke, agent of Wm Croal & co., the parties entitled.'
