Portrait of Butler Thompson Claxton by William Beechey. In the will of Butler Thompson Claxton proved in 1843 he left 'my portrait by Beechey' to one of his daughters. He was presumably the Mr Claxton referred to as sitter in the accounts shown in W. Roberts 'Sir William Beechey R.A.' (1907). Not further traced by LBS.
