Bethell Walrond

Paintings

Paintings

Madonna and Child with Saints John the Baptist and Onofrio. Panel painting of the early Cinquecento in southern Italy; catalogued [as at 1954] as of the school of Piero di Cosimo.

Notes

Whether Walrond had an extensive collection of paintings is not known - but it is probable. The sale of the Madonna and Child in 1878 occurred after his death and presumably in the course of disposing of his estate.
