Folly Pen is probably an amalgamation of two estates which are listed separately in the slave registers and almanacs, but both have the same name: Folly Pen [1] and Folly Pen [2]. Folly Pen [1] was owned by Ann McTier until at least 1826 when her attorney was Gilbert Fairfax Wallis (owner of Folly Pen [2]). Gilbert Fairfax Wallis and his wife Juliana had a daughter, Frances Margt Walker, born in 1822 and baptised in St Dorothy in 1823. Julia Ann Wallis went on to marry John Skelton. |
