Notes

This estate appears to have been split up following the death of Sarah Duncan: 29 enslaved people were registered in St Ann in 1826 by William Montague Johnston as owner, inherited from Sarah Duncan. A further 13 enslaved people were registered in St Ann in 1826 by Elizabeth Duncan, inherited from Sarah Duncan. Both groups of enslaved people were later registered as part of other estates owned by William Montague Johnston and Elizabeth Duncan. See Reserve estates [1] and [2] and Madras estate.
