In her will made in 1834, Catherine Trower Fuhr - the widow of Charles Fuhr - asserted her powers under a deed of 1784 to will the Fairyhill estate, previously known as Lodges Hope, and did so, to her daughter, Catherine Trower Humphrys. It is not clear what relationship Catherine Trower Fuhr had to the estate in the intervening years, but it appears likely she brought the estate to her marriage to Charles Fuhr and was a long-term annuitant on the estate.
