Not found in the Slave Registers but possibly combined with Haddon in St Ann. Mortgage in fee of slaves resident on the Woodlands estate in the parish of St Anne [sic], Jamaica Dated 13 Nov 1828 between (i) William Carter of Millwood, Hampshire, esquire, and Catherine Carter, formerly Haynes, his wife (ii) Philip Champion Crespigny of Harefield, Middlesex. Includes a copy of a return made to the Registrar of Slaves, 28 Jun 1817, giving names, ages and description of slaves on the Woodlands estate.
