Note that Farm and Retirement do not appear in the almanacs after the death of John Ritchie in the mid-1820s. The enslaved people were inherited by another John Ritchie and by Helen Heath nee Ritchie, whose husband William Heath owned Spring Mount estate in St James. They appear registered to Spring Mount estate in the slave compensation records.
