Notes

Owned by Robert Shaw and called Shaw's Park, all the enslaved people were sold to Donald Fraser between 1820 and 1823. It is assumed that the land was sold also, although Fraser named his estate Cocoa Ridge. After Donald Fraser's death c. 1829, all the enslaved people were sold back to Robert Shaw. It is assumed that once again the land changed hands too, although Robert Jackson is listed against Cocoa Ridge and Hill Side in the almanacs from 1830 to 1832.
