Notes

Pan's Lodge was fin Vere parish before the establishment of Manchester in 1814.

Some of the enslaved people were bequeathed by Roger Bartlett to Ellen Barlett, under the guardianship of her mother Mary Dakers Fowler around 1817 and later registered by Mary Dakers Fowler as her own property. This smaller group of enslaved people appear in the compensation records on Butterwick estate so may have been a jobbing gang.
