Notes

This estate appears in the records after Alexander Lind bought enslaved people from Thomas Johnston on Mayfield c. 1823 and others from the heirs of James Dickson in St Andrew. It appears that by 1834 Johnston was still owed some of the purchase money as his executors were awarded the compensation.

Alexander Addison Lind registered this estate at Mayfield in the almanacs until 1830 when Fair Prospect appears. Mayfield may have been divided, Fair Prospect being formed from Lower Mayfield.
