The original grantees of Charlotteville were Abram Markoe, E.Hawkins & J.Johnston and Alex. Stewart, under St John nos. 30, 31 and 32 respectively; 'Present Possessor' Jno. and Jas. Leith (St John no. 30), Unknown for St John nos. 31 and 32). In 1832 the owner was shown as 'Dev. of Gray'; the estate was still in cultivation in 1862.
