Most of the enslaved people upon this estate were sold to Adam Hogg between 1829 and 1832 after the death of James Sutherland. Dunrobin was registered to Bertha/Birthea Brice, Sutherland's common-law wife, in the almanacs of 1833 and 1840 so presumably she inherited the land. |
