In his will, Francis Cheeseman bequeathed 1/5 of the Redland plantation to his daughter Jane Ann Heath, wife of Josiah Heath. Heath then bought the remainder of the plantation from other legatees of Francis Cheeseman, making the plantation 154 acres in St. George and St. Joseph. Heath then acquired further land from from John Eastmond Todd who sold to him to for £3500 The Mercy plantation (including sugar works)> Heath retained ownership until his death.
