Registered in St Thomas-in-the-Vale to Joseph Labban with 40 enslaved people in Balcarres' letter to the Duke of Portland, dated 22/03/1800, taken at an extraordinary vestry 02/11/1799. However the same source also gives Buckfield owned by Francis Ross with 21 enslaved people. It's not clear if the estate was subdivided or if these were always separate.
