A counter appeal, in answer to "An appeal" by William Wilberforce: designed to prove that the emancipation of the Negroes in the West Indies, by a legislative enactment without the consent of the planters, would be a flagrant breach of national honour, hostile to the principles of religion, justice, and humanity, and highly injurious to the planter and to the slave.
