Settled in Victoria with her husband Andrew Scott (q.v.) in 1839. Scotsburn is named after them. Later farmed sheep and purchased land in Victoria and New South Wales.

Born into slavery in Carriacou, Grenada, Malvina Wells became a lady's maid in Edinburgh and a trusted family friend to her employers.
