Wife of James Adam Gordon (q.v.), who left her his property for life with an approved list of legatees among whom she was permitted to leave the property at her death, including Sir George Grey and his family. She remarried, to Richard Bright MP, and died 16/12/1891 leaving £121,704 12s 6d; she left the Stocks estate in Hertfordshire to Sir Edward Grey, later foreign secretary.
