All residue as follows:

To my wife, two-sevenths.

I have £2,000 at interest in England for a specific time but immediately on my demise, each and every legatee to be at liberty to will, give or otherwise dispose of their respective proportions as if it were in their possession and that no legacy or part thereof be considered lapse.

In case my wife Ann Mary should die before me, the property intended for her to be given to my infant daughter Deborah Ann with the exception of the property which my wife brought me in mariage which shall devolve to the children of her first bed.

Should my infant daughter die before the property intended for her should reach her then the said property to devolve to her mother my said wife.

My wife Ann Mary to be executrix and my friend Jeremiah Rogers to be executor.

Signed 09/08/1838.

My executors enjoined to pay my daughter Eliza Ann 32 doubloons before any other disposition is made of my property, being so so much borrowed from her this day and totally unconnected and not intended to clash with the bequests before made to my said daughter.
