In 1851 Hugh Parkin aged 58 wid[owe]r, fundholder, born Highgate was living at 8 Stanhope Street Paddington with daughters Charlotte E. Parkin 33 born Marylebone and Maria H 19 born Balcombe Sussex. In 1861 Hugh Parkin aged 68 Gentleman born Highgate was living at Swarthfield, Martindale, Cumberland. The will of Hugh Parkin, formerly of Ashurst Lodge in Kent but late of Swarthfield Westmoreland and Stanhope Street Hyde Park Gardens who died 16/03/1871 at Swarthfield proved 13/04/1871, effects under £35,000.
