Daniel Allt

Resident attorney of John Tapin (q.v.). In 1819 Daniel Allt had registered 160 enslaved people on Plantation Hermitage on the east sea coast as proprietor. He was deceased by 1821.


1819 Slave Registers Berbice; London Gazette, 17772, 11/12/1821, p. 2409; Times 22/08/1821 p. 1: account of the Marshal's Office Berbice proclaiming their intention to sell at Execution Sale the cotton estate called Susannah, belonging to Thomas Taptin [sic] upon a petition presented by Daniel Allt, attorney of John Tapin, late of this colony.
