Catherine Orgill Burgess, Joan Murray Burgess, Edward Cooper Burgess and Ann Nevins Burgess, children of Mary Murray, a free woman of colour, were baptised in St George, Jamaica, 04/02/1812. David Cooper Burgess, with the same mother, had been baptised in St George the year before. No father's name is given. They were probably the children of Henry Burgess, who owned their property before his death c. 1824.
