Eliza Mary Bayley and her sisters Margaret Jane Clachar and Anne Rebecca Passley inherited Content estate in St Thomas-in-the-East, Jamaica after the death of their father John Bayly (before 1810).
In 1841 Eliza Mary Bayley, age 25, of independent means, was living at Dawlish Street, Teignmouth, Decon, with her nieces Clementina, Emily and Mary Passley, who were presumably the children of her sister Ann Rebecca Passley, nee Bayley and brother-in-law John Panton Passley. In 1851 she was a visitor at 19 St Paul's Place, Finsbury, fundholder, born Jamaica. In 1861 she was living at 20a London Street, Paddington, age 50, gentlewoman, again with Clementina, Emily and Mary Passley.
In 1871, Eliza M. Bayley, age 60, was living at 29 Leamington Road Villas, Paddington, "income from private charity", with Emily and Mary Passley. In 1881 she was at 64 Alexandra Road, Willesden, with Clementina, Emily and Mary. She may be the Elizabeth Mary Bayley who died 10/06/1886 and was buried in Brompton Cemetery age 74.
