Will
PROB 11/1849 - precis. Ann Morris of West Clandon in Surrey, widow. To my daughter and her heirs and assigns in case she shall attain the age of 21 years, all my West India plantations and other real estate for ever. In case she shall not attain the age of 21 years then all my real estate to William Melleish of Stoke near Guildford in Surrey and Sarah his wife forever. To William Melleish and Sarah his wife £500 sterling. To Edward Masters of Aston in Middlesex, son of William Masters and Elizabeth his wife, both some time since deceased, £50. To Lady Harriet Elizabeth Onslow and William melleish all my monies and securities for money and all my personal estate and effects upon the several trusts hereinafter particularly mentioned. To pay out of the interest and dividends to Susan, wife of Benjamin Butcher of Compton in Surrey, an annuity of £20 for life. After the decease of Susan Butcher to transfer over all rest and residue to my daughter Harriet Onslow Morris at age 21 years. Should she not attain the age of 21 years then to pay £450 to Edward Masters in addition to the £50 sum before bequeathed to him and also £500 to Benjaimin Butcher, with all rest and residue to Susan Butcher, William Melleish and Sarah his wife. Executors to be Lady Harriet Elizabeth Onslow and William Melleish. Signed 30/04/1830. Codicil dated 30/04/1830. Whereas I have been accustomed for several years past to pay an annuity of £95 per annum to Mrs Ann Davies of West Clandon, widow, it is my wish that such annuity should be continued to be paid for her natural life. My executors to set apart such a sum from my personal estate as will be sufficient to enable them to continue to pay the said annuity. After her decease to dispose of the principal money as part of the residue of my personal estate. Codicil dated 30/04/1830. I revoke my bequest of all my West India plantations to my daughter Harriet Onslow Morris and instead bequeath them to Lady Harriet Elizabeth Onslow and William Melleish upon trust. They to dispose of my said plantations and apply the porceeds to the bequest of £550 previously made to William melleish and Sarah his wife and Edward Masters as well as the annuity of £20 given to Susan Butcher. Any residue to divert to my daughter Harriet Onslow Morris for her absolute use and benefit. Proved at London 16/07/1835 by William Melleish. |
