???? - 1844
Son of John Harman. Governor of Bank of England 1816-1818. His appearance in the compensation records for three claims in St Kitts relates to a loan of £5000 he made as part of a group of lenders (each advancing £5000) to Manning and Anderdon, and must have reflected an effort to rescue the latter firm. Patron of Charles Lock Eastlake, later Keeper of the National Gallery.
