Resident slave-owner in Jamaica, given as Codnor as well as Codner. He appears, proprietor of New Hope, as a witness in the Narrative of events since the 1st of August 1834 of James Williams. He filled a range of lower-tier local offices, e.g Deputy Post Master and Poundkeeper at Dry Harbour (Jamaica Almanac 1817); Assistant Judge and Magistrate St Ann (Jamaica Almanac 1824).
