1773 - 30th Jan 1840
Bennet Allen, the son of William Allen of Blackheath (q.v.) was plaintiff in the lawsuit of Allen v Appleton, in which were named a large number of defendants, many known to have been associated with the Orange Cove estate in Hanover, Jamaica. His uninformative will was proved in 1840, and his executor pursued the Chancery case.
